Collided with a British cargo ship en route to Germany with a cargo of timber in 1885 and sank.
The wreck of the Walkyre lies keel level at a depth of 36 m. It is largely relatively intact but the bow is more or less destroyed and the superstructures are collapsed. There is a lot of trawling over the wreck which is also home to large catfish.
The cargo holds offer a lot of interesting things to look at and there is a lot of cod here but you have to watch out for all the fishing lines and hauls of which there are plenty. There are also many fine blocks and tackles on the wreck.
