Stora Björekröd is a quarry located in northern Skåne. In the early 1890s, deposits of black diabase were discovered. Mining was initially done by hand, but later machines took over the tiring work more and more. Before the quarry was filled with water, quite large trees grew on the rock shelves, so today there are trees standing underwater. This nature, together with remains from the quarry, makes the place interesting to dive at. You can see boreholes and iron scaffolding along the cliff walls.
Things to consider: That you have a good sense of balance. There is basically nothing more than walls. If you were to lose control here, you will probably have a pretty nasty experience. Because when you get down to the depths it gets really dark. The light has a hard time penetrating down along the steep walls.
