There is information that it is Dutch, but there is also information about a Swedish steamship S/S Nordhalland, 83 tons, built in 1867 in Oslo. This ship, under captain C.A. Höglund, ran aground for unknown reasons outside Falkenberg on December 17, 1873. A wreck auction was held in Falkenberg on January 15, 1874.

The wreck lies flat on the bottom.
