On January 1, 1916, Franz and his crew of 15 men were on their way from Wismar to Gothenburg with coal in their cargo. They ran aground on the south side of Kullen. In 1959, the wreck was blown up.
Today, the remains of the wreck lie at a depth of 20 m. You can reach the wreck from the diving sites Persahall and Torskanäs. The wreck is not exactly well preserved, most of it has decayed. However, you can still see some details, such as the propeller blades. The wreck may be standing straight up from the bottom, and it is easy to swim around it. People usually dive here because there is a good variety of species around the wreck.
