On May 5, 1932, the ship collided with the S/S Nazare but was not seriously damaged and was able to continue its journey. However, the ship slowly but surely began to take on water and the ship sank in Thorness Bay between Yarmouth and Newtown. Later, the ship was salvaged and repaired in London.

In 1936, the ship was sold to Italian ownership and renamed Drepanum.

In 1939, the ship was seized by the Germans in Italy.

On November 20, 1943, it was on its way from Thamshamn to Germany when it collided with the German ship S/S Lippe of Bremen of 7849 GRT and sank.

Because of the superstructure, the wreck is blown up and there is a lot of open and accessible space. There is a lot of trawl on the wreck. The highest point on the wreck is in the stern where there is a cannon on the aft building. There is not much trawling here and there are places to swim into the wreck. Below the building the wreck looks cracked and here are many things that have fallen from the building. Up on the building the depth is 44 m and the deck is at 48 m.
